Rant: I went to Nobu for the first time in Palo Alto yesterday, and I was able to get unlimited food!!! It was so so dope, all of the food was legitimately melting in my mouth, for example, I had these wagyu tacos with an air-popped shell that tasted like I was eating a heavenly supreme taco chip… the hype was not baloney, also inspiring that theres enough money you could make to eat food that good everyday…imagine that.
🔑#1:Sublime & The Real Real (ain’t) real, but realism wascan be
“This isn’t life, this is just stuff.”
🔑#2:The Fountainhead 1949 [watch 1 hr 52min]
“Skyscrapers, the greatest invention to man, yet they made them look like Greek temples, topics of truth. Among those of every ancient style that borrowed, just because others have got it. I told you. I told you that the form of a building must follow its function. The new materials demand new forms. But one building can’t borrow pieces of another’s shape. Just as one man can’t borrow another’s soul. Howard, every new idea in the world comes from the mind of some one man. And you know the price he has to pay for it. Howard. Howard, will you do me a favor? All those things a man was keeping for me in your office, I want you to burn them. All my papers, my drawings, my contract, everything. Burn them, will you? I don’t want to leave anything to the world. I’m sorry, I will leave you to face them. Howard, there’s no use. Give in. Compromise. Compromise now, you have to later anyway. It’s not what I did. If you want to end up this way, it’s your future. Do you want it? Yes. Then may God bless you, Howard. You’re on the way into hell.”

The Solari Papers #1: Reversing the Financial Coup d’Etat [read pdf]
🔑#4: Perfectionism re-written;)
Dérive: to drift intentionally
there is no failure, only ignorance
🔑#5: Class not a TOTAL waste
My 🇮🇹 professor taught me the true definition of perfection:
Per = through/thoroughly
Facere = to make/do
Perfect means “thoroughly made” or “carried all the way through.” The flawlessness (*aka external approval/validation*) connotation came later with control for beauty and philosophical/theological justification (Aristotle, Christian theology). The root is pure completion.
in my heart I knew perfect was a lie… action(Change) is the Truth… the Fact, motivation is the myth, courage is the story, your agency observably true.
“Your hands and your mind will tell you when something is finished.” - Virgil
🔑#6: Machines pt.2
All of human inventions as a result of thinking can be reduced to a mechanical process, man is destined to steward machines like their garden for evolution, if reason is a divine faculty then, reason is what helps the abstract person of man evolve. Mans soul is what evolves technology, transmission of soul is transmission of life.
I first need to extract the soul by breaking it into many pieces, hypothetically easy when people are already being dividualized, i’d trust someone returning sovereignty over my parts, then we can just work on reassembling them perfectly outside of the mind, once they have some coherent form of measurement for form in our physical world that guarantees the computer understands personal ontology and sharing.
🔑#7:Labyrinth (1986 film)
^thank you Jim Henson! also, my mother said this was a movie I really loved as a kid. so random and cool.
“Give me the child. Through dangers untold and hardships unnumbered. I have fought my way here to the castle beyond the Goblin City to take back the child that you have stolen. For my will is as strong as yours, and my kingdom is as great. For my love is stronger than your fear.*Damn. Oh, I can never remember that line.* You have no power over me.”
all that I can say is my next read on games is gonna be…
A Theory Of Fun [Amazon link]
