How to escape competition, in love.
How many people walk paths their parents planned out for them decades ago? Competing with peers over acceptances, internships, rankings, settling unhappily into jobs they endure purely for survival. Staying tethered to people they tolerate for company to pass time, and run the same routines on autopilot. I was one of these people, playing finitely in finite games, and I got exactly the safe, linear decay that comes with making that choice.
